Hello World

Hello out there we are new here so bare with us as we blog.

We are open year round here in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. This week the Wilderness Wildlife Week is going on here in the city. We welcome all attendees.

Been very cold here lately down in the teens at night with some snow. The mountains are covered in snow and are so beautiful. Skiing is going full swing so if you like to ski check out our rates we have package deals.

Romance is blossoming here in the snowy mountains. Valentines is just around the corner. Can you beleive it? Did we just not celebrate the New Year? Check out our 3 day weekend getaway package for Valentines Day, wow, what a deal.

Got cabin fever?? for those folks with lots of snow and ice this time of year I am sure you do. Get away from the snow and ice and come see us. The weather is warming up we are in the 40s today what a great change.

We want to say welcome to the following groups coming in to stay with us here at Hotel Pigeon Forge we are so delighted to have them. NACMAI will be arriving to spend some time with us March 8-14, 2010 come here some great music! folks these people need our support and help they have alot of good talent!!

These folks also, set up in our lobby and sing, so you don’t want to miss it!!!

Smokey Mountain Gospel Jubilee at Country Tonight will be here February 4-5, 2010 we welcome these folks as well.

Hey, did I mention Wilderness Wildlife Week is going on now here in town, folks if you like the outdoors there is alot of things to do during this week hikes, classes, lectures, workshops. These folks have a great time and some of the friendliest folks you could ever meet. We are always pleased to have  folks with us who love the outdoors, its what we are all about the mountains, and the wildlife here in the National Park area.

A little praise for students!!! the Edge Student and Leader Conference is coming up. January 16-18,2010 these young people have alot of talent and put alot of work into their projects. These are our future leaders so lets get behind them and support them. Good Luck to each and everyone of them!!

Winterfest is still going on, if you folks want too see some beautiful lights, you all need too take a drive down here and spend the night with us and take a drive through Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg it is the most beautiful sight. Go to Patriot Park and walk around the park and look at the Patriotic themes they have set up!!

We welcome the 10th Annual Saddle Up Celebration February 25-28, 2010!

I was outside just a few minutes ago and under the canopy out here in front of the hotel I noticed something we have spring bulbs pushing up!!! I have been watching these since about the 20th of December, folks I think spring is just around the corner and what a welcome sight it will be.

I mentioned all of that to tell you folks Dollywood will be opening March 27, 2010 with Festival of Nations, now folks that is some talent that comes and performs at Dollywood!! From all over the world, Ireland, Russia just to mention a couple of them. Dancing and singing in the streets of Dollywood, just gives me goose bumps to think about, dogwood trees in bloom, followed shortly by the redbuds, tulips nodding their heads, sunshine that will warm your face and green grass to tickle the toes.  Oh, here I go daydreaming of warmer days…yes.

Gotta get back to work now where was I? I just got so carried away there for a moment oh yes I was welcoming folks to the area.

And one of my favorite groups and I am not joshing you!!! I think its because it reminds me of home. Quiltfest!  Yes folks, The Winterfest Quiltfest is going to be here very soon. These ladies and gentlemen put alot of work into these quilts they make and display. I know I just love to crawl up under my quilt on any night and snuggling deep into it. I have a Log Cabin design quilt all handmade, which one do you have?

We also welcome  the TN Moose Association coming up March 18-21,2010.

Titanic Museum is coming this year and it will be almost right across the street from us. The gentlemen who put the roof on the building stayed with us this past fall, while they were working,  and we want to make note that we do welcome the Titanic to the mountains. The first time a ship ever came here I do believe.

Youth Outreach for Christ will be joining us here in the mountains March 27-28, 2010 let us encourage our youth of today and be nice to them remember they are the future leaders!

Fiesta Val Band and Chorus competition will be here on April 16-17 let us make a big welcome to these young folks and applaud their talents.
